One fine morning, on January 18, 2009, Baby Lane woke up, got dressed, and did his morning stretches....
The hospital was great, and we're very thankful for all the important care we received from doctors and nurses there, but.....
.....Let's go home!
Dressed to break out of the hospital!
By this point, Mom and Dad were definitely ready to have Lane leave the hospital and come home
Little baby feet are always so cute
He sleeps in the Pack-n-play in our room, for now
If you don't like something, just pull it over your face
If he had to pick a favorite activity, it wouldn't be bath time!
Can you hear the music of the night?
Lane has been home since January 18, 2009, and we have loved having him home with us. His birth weight was 4 lbs. 6 oz., but he now weighs over 7 lbs and is doing very well. He is a good little baby and we are having such a fun time being his parents. He has stayed at home, except for a quick trip over to Mesa and Gilbert on Super Bowl Sunday, and a couple of appointments with the pediatrician. If you're wondering, Anna and Lincoln's Nursing School schedules have meshed very well. We have been able to be home with him everyday but two thus far. Thanks to Lincoln's mom for coming out to watch him one day and to Courtney Sherrill for watching him on the other. He loves his car seat, but is not so crazy about his crib or pack-n-play so far. He loves sleeping in his mom's lap the best. And he really loves to make noises! Maybe he is talking to himself, or maybe all of the grunting is just his little nervous system developing. Or maybe along with all of his moving his arms and legs it is his outlet for all of the energy he has. One thing is for sure, we are loving every minute of it. (even the early-morning feedings and diaper changes.)

OH, you guys must just be having a ball! It's so great to have a newborn around... I'm so glad he's home with you and that your schedules are working out!
We're so glad to see the cute pics and hear that he's thriving! Give him a kiss for us.
We are so glad he is doing well!!! We want to come over and see you guys (and baby Lane!!) Maybe one night we can bring over dinner. Let us know. :)
How exciting!!! What a cutie! I'm so happy for you guys!
Hi Lincoln and Anna,
He is precious and so tiny! Hope you are all doing well. At best, it can take everything out of you; and then with the trauma of a hospital stay, I can only imagine you are glad to get home with him.
Congratulations!
lane is one of the best names ever and is one of the cutest little dudes i've seen yet this year! it's sooo hard with crazy schedules and baby on their own schedule and we were walking zombies for two months but well worth it. you guys are strong!!!
He's a keeper - that's for sure! I still can't believe he's already 7 pounds! That's awesome... He's going to be a big boy!
He is so cute! I know that Lincoln you are done with school now (Congrats) but if I can even watch him for you guys I would be MORE than happy to! Maybe it will help cure my baby hunger!
Yea! Austin and I read the story and saw Lane's pictures! So, sweet! Austin was my premie - weighing in at 6 lbs 13 oz! One month early! Have fun with Lane! He is so cute!
Glad he's home and doing well-sounds like he's gaining wieght quite fast!! He'll be outgrowing the rest soon enough I'm sure. Congrats on having him home, and I love all the pics you've posted. The pictures all remind me of HAiley when she was little....wrinkled saggy skin...the whole "preemie" look to them. So cute. Take care!
Anna and Lincoln~
